Any Indian citizen who would like to arrive in Vietnam no matter whether on a business trip or for tourism purposes all have to ask for a visa to Vietnam. The embassy of  Vietnam in India is where necessary procedures for a visa to be provided are implemented.

1 - Visa

In terms of paper, the Indian citizens asking for a tourist visa must prepare the following: the original passport, a 4x6 photo, a copy of the first and the last page of the passport, a return plane ticket or ticket to a third country, the latest 3 months bank account statement (the minimum balance of $2,155), fee for visa services (about $51 per month). In case of going on a business trip or visiting relatives, apart from these, there is a need for an approval letter from the Vietnam Immigration Department or an invitation letter of relatives in Vietnam. Note that aside from the above-mentioned documents, there is a need to provide more in case the Vietnam embassy in Delhi requires it.

If you apply for a visa at the Vietnam embassy, Indian citizens need to prepare all these papers and submit them in person at the embassy or the consulate. Otherwise, Indian citizens can also register online and apply for Visa on Arrival if they travel by airplane. With this type of visa, Indian citizens just need to fill in all basic information into the digital application form and pay the service fee. Within 2 to 7 days or less, Indian citizens will receive the dispatch allowing their entry accompanied with an immigration report via the signed-in email. The last thing to do is to have it stamped as soon as you arrive at a Vietnam airport.

With a tourist visa at the Vietnam embassy in India, the fee is relatively cheap, $21 if Indian citizens enter once a month, $26 if the number of entries is more; if Indian citizens apply for a 3 months visa, the price is $34 if you enter once, $55 if more. In case Indian citizens ask for an urgent visa, there will be extra charges such as $10 per person for receiving dispatch in 1 working day, $25 per person for receiving dispatch in 4 working hours, and $50 for receiving dispatch in 2 hours. The fare can be changed depending on the time you apply for the visa.
